PSEO New Student Orientation

Remember to regularly login to your Checklist to view your next steps in the enrollment process.

Please note, you will gain access to the PSEO New Student Orientation 24 hours after you have been accepted.

Selecting the orientation link will take you to the PSEO New Student Orientation. You will need to have your StarID and password (created during the application process) ready to login.

If you have trouble logging in, please try resetting your StarID password through the Manage StarID website. After resetting your password, if you still cannot login, please contact our IT Office at 763-424-0957.

PSEO New Student Orientation

PSEO Registration Sessions will be completed in group session and will be available in-person, or through Zoom.

Important: If your Parent/Guardian has questions about your PSEO classes YOU MUST schedule an On Campus Registration Session.

Every session will allow you to meet with an Academic Advisor to get assistance with registering for classes.

Please come prepared to your Registration Session. Plan on the following:

• Course recommendations from your High School Counselor
• Arrive 10-15 minutes early
• Have your StarID and password ready for login
• For In-Person: Bring photo ID
• For Zoom: Set your Zoom name as your First and Last name
• For Zoom: Please be at a computer to make the registration process smoother. You will not be able to complete your Registration Session while you are driving.

We have to manually review your PSEO New Student Orientation completion and lift your hold. Typically, your hold will be lifted within one business day of completion. If you have questions, please call our office at 763-424-0703.

Your Registration Session hold will be lifted at the time of your PSEO Registration Session appointment.

At the Registration Session, an Academic Advisor will assist in picking out classes for your first term. This will set you on the right path to reach your academic goals. It will ensure that you do not take any classes you do not need, which will save you time and money in the long run.

There are no steps you need to take. The Orientation Office will review your account and send you information on your next steps.

After completing the PSEO New Student Orientation, if you have both Reading and English placements on file, you will receive an email the next business day with a link to book your PSEO Registration Session, or view your Checklist for further information.

If you do not have Reading and English placements on file, please complete the Course Placement Evaluation form to begin this process.

If you plan to take a math course OR any course that has a math pre-requisite (like Chemistry), you MUST have a Math Placement before your Registration Session.

You can find your course placements in eServices, under the “Courses & Registration” menu, select the “Course Placement” option.

You can also view your Checklist to find your course placement.

Fall PSEO Registration Sessions begin at the beginning of April, when Fall PSEO registration opens. Appointment booking will typically open at the beginning of March.

Spring PSEO Registration Sessions begin at the beginning of November, when Spring PSEO registration opens. Appointment booking will typically open at the beginning of October.

We block students from booking an appointment in Navigate until they have their Registration Session hold lifted. Please wait for the email, or view your Checklist, for Registration Session appointment instructions.

New students gain access to their NHCC email 62 days before the start of your admit term. Prior to the 62 days, we will email you at your personal email we have on file. After 62 days, all official communication will be sent to your NHCC email.
